Apeks MTX-RC DIR - Advanced DIR Regulator Set for Single Cylinder Diving

The Apeks MTX-RC DIR regulator set with a long hose for single-cylinder configuration is crafted for divers preferring the DIR setup in single-cylinder diving. This setup is also ideal for recreational divers considering future transitions to twinset diving, as adding a second first stage completes a twinset configuration. Built with military-grade engineering and renowned for its smooth breathing performance, the MTX-RC delivers reliability in cold and extreme environments. Incorporating the MTX-R series' advanced anti-freezing technology, the MTX-RC resists free flows even in icy conditions while offering breathing adjustments for comfort in warmer waters.

First Stage MTX-RC:

  • Heat-Exchanging Ribbed Brass Body: Ensures maximum thermal performance, while the innovative molded cover and environmental diaphragm prevent ice buildup, which could cause free flows in extreme cold.
  • Over-Balanced Diaphragm Design: Increases intermediate gas pressure faster than ambient pressure at depth, optimizing deep-water breathing performance.
  • 5 Low-Pressure Ports: Four mounted on a rotating turret for optimal hose orientation.
  • 2 Angled High-Pressure Ports: Positioned for convenient transmitter mounting and hose routing.
  • Durable, Dual-Swivel Hose: Allows for greater flexibility and comfort, while the easy-to-grip DIN handwheel offers convenient single-handed operation.
  • DIN Configuration: Rated for up to 300 bar.
  • Nitrox Compatibility: Up to 40% O₂ outside the EU (in the EU, >21% O₂ requires M26 connection).

Second Stage MTX-RC:

  • Protective Elastomer Bumpers: Guards sensitive areas against impact and scratches.
  • Ergonomic Venturi Lever: Easy to operate, with an oversized breathing effort adjustment knob for convenient use with gloves in cold water.
  • Reversible Second Stage: Configurable for left- or right-side gas delivery.
  • Patented Heat Exchanger: Disperses cold from expanding gas while drawing warmth from the surrounding water for a more comfortable breathing experience.
  • Diver Changeable Exhaust (DCE) System: Offers a choice between a small or large exhaust tee, allowing divers to adapt bubble dispersal to preference.
  • Flexible Nylon Braided Hose: Superior cold-water performance compared to traditional rubber hoses.
