The xDeep HYDROS DIR Set initially appears to be a classic diving wing, recognizable to any experienced diver. However, upon closer inspection, the innovations we have incorporated become evident. We've refined the wing's geometry to enhance stability and reduce dead zones. The result is a compensator that offers better valve access, lower resistance, and makes achieving perfect trim much easier.

The HYDROS wing's outline is designed to ensure your trim is always perfect. The innovation lies in its buoyancy center, which perfectly aligns with the gas cylinder's center of gravity. This ensures consistent trim throughout the dive, regardless of the wing and cylinder fill levels.

In many twin wings, the loose upper part can block valve access. This upper part is essentially useless, as it remains empty in a horizontal position underwater and emerges above the surface, failing to support the diver. We eliminated this issue in the HYDROS wing by significantly reducing the upper part, minimizing dead zones and making valve access in emergencies much quicker and easier, which is critical for safety.

The smaller outline of the HYDROS wing reduces resistance during diving and the risk of snagging obstacles. However, this typically also means lower buoyancy. We managed to reduce the external outline of the HYDROS wing without compromising buoyancy by eliminating the traditional dead zone in the central part of the wing. Clever, right?

On the surface, the HYDROS wing maximizes active buoyancy, keeping the diver afloat. We achieved this by maximizing the part of the wing that remains underwater, providing support above the water level. You'll notice a significant difference during sea dives with high waves and two full stage bottles.

When ordering the HYDROS wing, you can choose the inflator length, wing size, and plate type that best suit your needs. If you order the HYDROS set, you'll receive everything assembled, configured, and perfectly tailored to your needs.

Two Wing Sizes to Choose From

The set is available with the HYDROS 40 wing, with an 18 kg buoyancy, or the HYDROS 50, with a 22 kg buoyancy. The HYDROS 50 is ideal for ambitious technical dives with a twin 2x12 and stage bottles, while the HYDROS 40 is perfect for a twin 2x7 or 2x12 in advanced recreational dives. Choose the optimal wing for your diving needs.

Perfectly Matched Inflator

A poorly chosen inflator makes precise buoyancy control difficult. When well-matched, it makes it intuitive. In the HYDROS wing configuration, you can (and should!) choose the most suitable inflator length from three available options based on your height.

Steel or Aluminum Plate?

You can order the HYDROS set with a harness based on an aluminum plate or stainless steel plate. The aluminum plate is lighter and better if you frequently travel with your equipment. The steel plate allows you to carry less ballast. We give you the choice. You know exactly what you need.
